Seiko 5 Actus with its reveered Seiko’s 6106 automatic movement, the 6106C was introduced in 1969-1977 as revised from the 1967 6106A movement.

6106 movement comes with 25 Jewels but the 6106C has the Diafix installations and the 6106C variant introduced a quickset mechanism to allow the day and date to be changed by pushing in the crown. And is the only caliber to support a bilingual day wheel. Since this timepiece is a Japanese domestic model it features day date in both English and Kanji.

An “SS” logo found in some 5 Actus models means the short form of Second Setting, a movement feature that allows the second hand to stop ticking once the crown is pulled out.

The Seiko 5 Actus SS 6106-7420, produced in 1974, boasts an elegant silver sunburst dial with a minutes ring positioned along the side of the dial. Despite its simplicity, what sets this watch apart is its cushioned-shaped case, which is larger than the typical 5 Actus models. This unique case design not only offers a comfortable fit on the wrist but also adds a captivating visual element.

Notably, the crown of the watch seamlessly blends into the watch case, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the timepiece. This Seiko 5 Actus SS 6106-7420 is a watch that combines both comfort and eye-catching design, making it a notable addition to your wrist.
