Early Portmeirion ointment jar without lid decorated in Susan Williams-Ellis's Dolphin design.

These pots were made by hand and marked with their capacity on the bottom, at the old Kirkham's factory which became Portmeirion Pottery's main site in Stoke.

The guilding is worn but the glaze is in very good condition.

These pots mark the end of hand- manufacturing medical storage jars in the Victorian style.

Note; The stamped size is a '6' not '3' it just looks like a 3 in the photo.
