Property Description:
The cottage, although quaint
& cosy is the perfect size for a couples Peak District get-away. As you
enter the property into the Sitting Room, you are greeted by a warming log
burner, along with comfortable seating, Smart TV & a dining table with 2
chairs. The Kitchen has all the appliances required, including a dishwasher
& free shelving space to store anything you want to bring with you. On the
first floor is a spacious bathroom, featuring a bath with overhead shower &
shower screen & the king-size bedroom with views of the village. Outside
there is a parking space to the rear for one car & to the front of the
property there is a small enclosed private garden with bistro set to enjoy your
morning coffee, or evening wine.
The village of Longnor is a great
base to be, offering a traditional village atmosphere, steeped in history &
has previously been used as a location for filming Peak Practice & Pride
& Prejudice. The surrounding countryside offers beautiful views. The village
has a recently refurbished pub/restaurant (only 5 minutes’ walk from the
cottage,) a Fish & Chip shop, a Post Office & a local village store.
Outside of Longnor, the nearest
town is Buxton, offering café’s, restaurants, bars, plus the Opera House &
Gardens. In the opposite direction is the town of Leek, which is great for High
Street shops. There is ample walking from the doorstep in Longnor with many
trails to explore along with many more activities around the area.
