Some Sad But Necessary Words On Postage etc

Please note that the UK postage includes a charge for Signed For On Receipt including Tracking to comply with eBay’s Guarantee Policy. Any additional mark-ups by eBay are included.

 Collect in Person is offered as a cheaper alternative where practical.

 My postage charges do not include the costs of labour and time for packing the item, packing materials, time and fuel costs in transport to the Post Office.

Although only the postage as levied by Royal Mail or Courier plus any charges that ebay see fit to include are included, these have by necessity to be estimated beforehand.

You keep any differences that are in your favour, small differences in my favour make a minor contribution to my Packing Materials Fund but if I get it completely wrong and the differences are large I will make you a subsequent refund. (See my feedback to confirm I am an honest ebayer).

 I apologise to my overseas buyers but I have stopped offering to ship abroad entirely due to extortionate postal charges. But if you really want this item please be sure to ask for a postal quote before the end of the auction. I am happy to post abroad but I will not embarrass myself by publically advertising such large fees.

Please give serious consideration to obtaining insurance for the more expensive items. I will be pleased to get you a quote if you require it.

There is no need to respond if you do not need insurance and I will despatch the goods at your risk as soon as payment has cleared.

I always get proof of posting and the items are packed with considerable care but if the need for a claim unfortunately does arise then I will of course be pleased to forward the postal receipt to the buyer for him/her to make their own claim directly to the postal/courier company concerned.

 Please be aware that I have no control over the delivery of an item once it has been despatched. I have an email from Royal Mail confirming that care of the item is their responsibility after handover and during transit. 

 Please remember delivery delays may be caused by a multitude of external factors out of my control such as adverse weather, strikes, natural disasters, festive and Bank holidays etc.
