X-Ray Spex Genuine 1977 Virgin VS189 ‘Oh Bondage Up Yours / I am A Cliché’ Promo Poster

Mega Rare Opportunity to buy this original Record shop promotional poster for the X-Ray Spex's debut single "Oh Bondage Up Yours!" which was released in September 1977.

Singer-songwriter Poly Styrene was inspired to write the song after seeing The Sex Pistols perform in 1976, informing the suggestive lyrics and their articulation of capitalist materialism as a type of bondage. Although it failed to make its mark on the charts, it quickly became a celebrated punk anthem and is retrospectively hailed as one of punk's defining moments.

Poster size is 22” inches x 17” inches, and in overall good condition, with a few age-related folds and creasing throughout but would really suit being framed.

This is absolutely 100% original! - Not one of the many A3 / A2 repros of this poster which appear on eBay all the time. Very Scarce early promo poster with no Virgin branding which is featured in ‘The Art Of Punk’ book which details lots of early Punk posters + Flyers + Fanzines and Record Sleeves from back in the Late Seventies.

Extremely Rare poster that will only appreciate in value.
