This is the original winner's blanket/cooler worn by Editor's Note after winning the 1996 Belmont Stakes for trainer D. Wayne Lukas and Overbrook Farm. This comes from a collection of items from the farm manager at Overbrook.

This is a very large blanket that measures about 75" long by 35" high when folded in half. It is a nice fleece material with a red border stitched on and the Belmont Stakes logo embroidered in color. This is in excellent condition with just two spots with some material missing (see last photo). Only one of these is awarded each year so this is obviously a very rare item.

Please review the photos and use the magnify feature to review the condition. We guarantee satisfaction with the racing items we sell, so if you are not happy with it then it can be returned for a full refund, assuming it is returned in the same condition of course.

Shipping is $19.95. We are always happy to combine shipping on multiple items.

Please see our other auctions for an extensive collection of historic horse racing programs, Daily Racing Forms, trophies and memorabilia featuring horses like Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Dr. Fager, Damascus, Round Table, Dan Patch, Buckpasser, Kelso and other champions and Kentucky Derby winners.
