5th Royal Irish Lancers Regiment Cap Badge Bi-Metal Slider ANTIQUE Original, dates from 1902-1921, possibly WW1, maybe earlier than 1902?

This is an original antique 5th Royal Irish Lancers Regiment Cap Badge. Bimetallic brass and white metal with brass slider. The motto “Quis Separabit” with laurel leaves surrounds a white metal 5, over crossed flags.

Age? I am unsure exactly of the age of this. Online I have seen the earliest of these dates at 1902. The regiment disbanded in 1921, so it’s fair to say that it could be from 1902-1921, possibly earlier?

The 5th Royal Irish Lancers Regiment was a cavalry regiment of the British army raised in 1689 in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh. The motto of the 5th Lancers was 'Quis Separabit?'The regiment was disbanded in 1921 and amalgamated with the 16th Queen’s Lancers in 1922 to form the 16th/5th Lancers.

The badge measures 5cm long and 4cm wide.

There is a small bit of verdigris on the front (bottom left on the laurel leaves - see photos)

It is in good condition - please examine all the photos before making a bid.

Other sellers have these badges on sale for far more so this is priced to sell.
