This is an original press photo. The old Ladd-Reed farmhouse, steeped in the early history of the Tualatin valley, still stands in its picturesque srtting. The area was settled first in 1840 by Joe Meek, who took up a claim on the Tualatin plains. Marker records site on Sunset highway, 12 miles west of Portland.Photo measures 9.25 x 7.5inches. Photo is dated 4-26-1953.
