"World Tame-Sukashi was done by applying Tame-nuri over small scratches on the body of the axis, and we found their value as a part of art.
Some works were interrupted before finishing with maki-e, such as unevenness caused by the grain of the wood or small cracks after applying gold leaf.
We revived these imperfect works by applying tame-sukashi nuri to them.
The slightly brownish-red suki-urushi lacquer becomes more transparent with time. Therefore, the maki-e under the urushi lacquer also changes its expression over time and can be enjoyed forever.
