Known as 'The Biggest Little City in the World', Reno offers visitors all the non-stop action, fine dining, and exciting nightlife of a casino town, while retaining the warmth and hospitality of a small town. The area is home to a variety of year-round recreational activities. Its dry, warm climate and proximity to Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake make it the ideal vacation spot for fishing and water sports. In the winter, the area's many ski resorts bustle with skiers, snowboarders, and snowmobilers. You'll also find many venues for golf, tennis, and family entertainment in and around Reno. The Truckee River, which flows through the town, offers swimming, tubing, rafting, and jogging trails along its banks.
