The fibers in silk are made from the cocoons of silk worms.  You can expect variations in color, shading, texture and slubs within the same bolt.  These are not considered defects or flaws but are considered part of the natural beauty of real silk.  The effect of sunlight on certain colors (especially in the blue family) may cause color variations; therefore silk is not guaranteed against fading.  We recommend lining all window treatments with interlining and light reducing lining to minimize the negative effects of sunlight.

Not suitable for upholstery as is.  Must have a knit backing applied for very light duty upholstery projects.

Professionally dry clean.  Clean fabric with a pure solvent in a well-ventilated area.  Do not saturate.  Do not use water.  We recommend cleaning be done by a professional cleaning service.
