laptop 250GB SATA Hard Drive with activated Windows XP Pro with sp3 installed from dell e6400 laptop, and also installed activated office 97. pictures just show one of the sample (see last picture).

Please be sure to SATA Operation to ATA as shown in photo.

The IT man preinstalled windows xp /sp3 from Dell Latitude E6400 laptop, and test it in Dell Latitude e6400, e6410, e6500 and Vostro 1520, dell inspiron 1545, dell D620 D630 windows xp does load and  works, {you may have to set up SATA operation to ATA (see last picture  depended on your model ) if it did not run automatically}.   

of course you may need load specific drives from dell websites depended on your dell laptop model/version/tag in order to build your own working system. so just be aware of it.  

i also have 100GB, and 160GB HDD with windows xp and office97 (see last picture), if you like them,  make a offer for $10 (160GB) and $6 for 100GB), and leave notes.  

I am not sure whether it will work in other brand's laptop and or other model's dell laptop.  BUT it does load windows xp/sp3 in E6400, E6500, and Vostro 1520 , dell inspiron 1545,d620 d630 optical 380 and 9020 ,,,,,,,so may work for other model too, just be aware you need download your model's drives form dell web site in order to work normally.
