Here is an extremely rare ticket stub from a game played between the visiting New York Yankees and Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics. The game was played on June 12, 1943 at Shibe Park in Philadelphia with the Yankees scoring a decisive 14-5 victory. Sparked by an eight-run second inning the Yankees rallied from a 3-0 deficit to coast home. Roy Weatherley collected five hits in five at bats for the winners and Johnny Lindell hit the game's only home run. While the Yankees went on to win the 1943 World Series, the A's lost 105 games, worst in the majors. Please visit us often as we will be posting more unique items. Thanks for looking!
