Der legendäre Pop-Art-Künstler aus New York. 1950 in Brooklyn geboren, studierte er bis 1974 Kunst an der University of Florida in Gainesville. Bereits kurz nach Studienende hatte er die Chance, seine Arbeiten im New Yorker Brooklyn Museum zu präsentieren. Im Laufe der Jahre entwickelte er seinen charakteristischen Stil immer weiter und erschuf ein Meer von farbenfrohen Bildern, die vor Lebensfreude nur so sprühen. James Rizzi lebte und arbeitete bis zu seinem Tod am 26.12.2011 in seinem Atelier-Loft im New Yorker Stadtteil SoHo.
