The fastest and best 21mm lens you can put on a screwmount Leica*** - and you can still mount it to an M camera (it’s surprisingly competitive with even the most modern M 21mm lenses, especially given the price - take a look at the last picture for how Pop Photo scored this back in the day). Avenon is the JDM brand name; these were later sold under the name Kobalux (and rarely, Bower) in the U.S.
I was the last person to import Kobalux lenses when they were still being made, so I do know a thing or two about how to judge the condition of these. If you have any questions about versions, I can answer them. This lens is in optimum optical and mechanical condition, with just a few dust specks (normal on any lens this age). No scratches or fungus.

- Original hood (very hard to find - these are very thin and well finished - not generic “wideangle” hoods
- Original Avenon M adapter (engraved Avenon, of course!) (index lines up at 11 looking from the front)
- Unbranded rear M cap
***Not for use on Canon LTM rangefinder cameras unless you want to modify the baffles in the lens mount throat of the camera. Last picture shows you the nature of the mod you would have to make to the baffle (mine is cut out also to accommodate some additional collapsible lenses, but that’s the piece.
