The Antonov An-225 Mrija is a large cargo freight aircraft designed during the Soviet Union in the 1980s. It boasted six turbofan engines (the only one of its kind to do so) and is considered the “heaviest aircraft ever built” with an initial weight of 600 tons. Its weight distribution was designed in order to carry large cargo such as the Soviet shuttle Buran. When fully assembled, this 1/144 scale model measures 583mm long and has a wingspan 614mm wide.
