This t trim has a flat face, It does not have any lip edges and fits flush as in the photos,

This knock on t trim edging is suitable for 18mm thickness board, you will need to cut a ....3MM... slot into the edge of the board,  

( The 3mm slot cutter is available in my shop) 

Then the edging easily knocks into place leaving a smooth finish
