Blue John Specimen from Derbyshire
This is a superb example of Blue John Fluorite from Derbyshire, from old stock. The piece shows the classic blue-purple and yellow from which Blue John derives its name. It has numerous well formed dark purple Fluorite crystals on the top of the piece, and larger paler crystals on the other sides.
The piece weighs 54g and measures approx 40 x 36 x 28mm, and is best viewed under magnification to see the full detail (All weights and measures are approximate)
It is a beautiful piece which would appeal equally to collectors or to display in the home
