Description

This set of antique heavily carved oak dining chairs is truly a rare find. Dating back to the 1880s, these chairs are a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of the past. The set includes two oversized arm chairs and six extra tall side chairs, all of which feature stunning, intricate carving.

One of the most striking features of these chairs is the unusual leather used on the seats and backs. Although the leather is original, it is spotty and dry in some places, and the seats are quite rough. However, it appears as though the leather on 7 of the 8 front-facing chair-backs could be saved with some care and attention, which is a testament to the quality of the materials used.

The flower details on the carved crest add an extra touch of elegance and sophistication to these already high-end chairs. The arm chairs measure 22” wide x 20” deep x 49” tall, with a seat height of 19” and a height of 26” from the floor. The side chairs measure 18” wide x 18” deep x 47” tall, with a seat height of 18”.

While there is one turned cross spindle missing on one of the chairs, we will have it repaired before shipment to ensure that these chairs arrive in top condition. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this set of truly unbelievable antique heavily carved oak chairs with their unique leather accents - they are sure to become the centerpiece of any dining room.
