- Antique folk art paintng of a little girl (looks like an infant or toddler) with flowered dress, and holding a bouqet of flowers.
- For years, I thought this was a tin type that someone painted over. But just took it out of the frame for this first time in 30 years and found what I think is a watercolor on paper cut to an oval and mounted on a piece of cardboard with a gold trim line. No information on sitter but I purchased this at an auction in Walnut, Juniata County, PA several decades ago. Auker and Henry pop up in my mind.but that may not be right. No inscription on the back.
- Often, a portrait of a child holding flowers that point down signify a mourning painting, See what you think.
- the cardboard measures 8x10, the oval painting is 5-1/2x7-1/2 and the frame measures 12x14"
- The frame is wood, wooden back, thin glass with nibbles on corners. , the cardboard is backed by a piece of tissue. Back of frame has oxidized and I can't tell what kind of wood it is.
- Very primitive, very sweet. All original and guaranteed old. But see for yourself!
