You can tell by its weight it’s heavier than brass, also whoever in its past that foolishly polished away its bronze patina thankfully left it inside its domed base plate, see last photo

I suppose unless you know how to get its bronzed look back it’s now a heavy brass stick with an unusual Key pattern design on four sections of it surface
