The MD-70CD is an independently driven CD player and MD recorder combination recorder.
The CD player and MD recorder can independently output CDs and input/output MDs, respectively.
The CD player and MD recorder can be used to maximize the benefits of being independently driven combo units, such as continuous playback and dubbing from CDs to MDs.
The CD player section can play not only audio CDs but also WAV and MP3 files.
It also supports CD-R/CD-RW discs.
The -50% to +16% pitch control can be varied with a dedicated knob on the front panel for intuitive and reliable operation.
The MD recorder section supports LP2 and LP4 long play modes.
Equipped with analog, coaxial, and optical digital inputs and outputs, the MD-70CD can be used flexibly with a variety of systems.

Combination model of MD deck and CD player
The MD deck and CD player, which have dedicated input and output systems, can operate independently of each other.
The CD player can play and output CDs while the MD deck is recording external inputs, making it possible to have both an MD deck and a CD player in one unit.
MD deck section compatible with SP (stereo), MONO, LP2, and LP4
MD recording up to 320 minutes (when using an 80-minute disc) and recording/playback in different modes within a single MD disc.
CD player section compatible with CD/CD-TEXT/CD-R/CD-RW discs
The CD player is capable of playing back CDs containing WAV and MP3 files.
It also supports CD-TEXT playback and can display song information as well as copy track and album names when recording to MDs.

Dedicated output terminals are provided for both the MD deck and CD player.

Dedicated analog and digital input/output terminals are provided for the MD deck, and dedicated analog and digital output terminals are provided for the CD player.
Each can be output as an independent source.
In addition, an analog output terminal (COMMON) is provided to output the audio signal being played on the MD or CD, allowing the user to set the priority source to be output during simultaneous MD and CD playback.
Programmed playback settings can be saved
Programmed playback settings can be saved for up to 100 discs (MD and CD).
When a disc (MD or CD) that has been programmed once is inserted, the previously set programmed playback track order can be loaded.
