A Member of the Society of Equestrian Artists and American Academy of Equine Art, Roy is an artist of international repute. Roy began work as a commercial artist at the age of 14, studying in the evenings at the Manchester College of Art. In the early sixties he moved to London and worked as a freelance illustrator. He has had many exhibitions including the Royal Academy, but the turning point of his career was in 1972 when he visited a racecourse
