Original British Army 1949 Pattern Battledress Blouse.

Postwar development of the famous WW2 British Battledress uniform.

This example has been tailored to the requirements of a soldier in The Life Guards in the 1950s.
The modifications include using leather buttons in exposed areas and shortening the integral belt so that it close with a trouser buckle.

Manufactured in 1951 by 'Black & Co. Ltd.'.

Size 13.
Measures: 20.5 inches (52 cm) from armpit to armpit, 19 inches (48 cm) from armpit to cuff, and 22 inches (56 cm) from top to bottom.
Would best fit somebody with a 37 - 39 inch (94 - 99 cm) chest.

Good condition for its age. All buttons present. No stains - that I can see.
* A couple of small moth holes here and there (see pictures).
