TARZAN JR. is my hardbound,
handcrafted miniature version of Tarzan Jr. written
by Edgar
Rice Burroughs and illustrated by Edgar Rice Burroughs and John
Coleman Burroughs. In 1937 Colleen Moore asked Edgar Rice Burroughs for a few words from a Tarzan book and an
autograph to add to her miniature Fairy Castle Collection at The Museum of
Science and Industry in Chicago. What was returned to her was an original fable
featuring a princess and Tarzan, Jr. hand written by Edgar Rice Burroughs and illustrated by Edgar Rice Burroughs and John Coleman Burroughs.
My version of this volume
contains 49 pages with 16 color illustrations and 8 black and white
illustrations. This volume measures 2
and ½ inch high by 1 and ¾ inch wide by ¼ inch thick. It is constructed using
traditional book making techniques and other techniques I have developed for
making miniature books. The spine is printed with the title so the volume will
look well on a bookshelf. I personally make each book. My miniature
books are not intended for children and are not toys. THE PICTURE IS LARGE
TO ENABLE CLOSE VIEWING OF THE BOOK DETAILS. THE QUARTER IN THE PHOTO MEASURES .955 INCHES
OR 24.26 MM.
