This auction is for an "antique" German bisque socket doll head marked "Queen Louise, Germany, 7". There is a "Hairline Crack" at the back of this head, see photo. Head is together but this line shows through the bisque and may need some glue/ plaster restoration. This bisque head was made by German dollmaker Armand Marseille, 1910+ and comes with a vintage wig and neck plug. This doll head measures approx. 6" tall straight up from top to bottom, and 11" around the head above the eyebrows with a tape measure, if I measure around the neck below her chin, it is 6" around with a tape measure. Measuring from the back rim to bottom of the neck is approx. 4-1/2". Neck hole measures 1" across. This is an antique head that does show overall wear, please click on each photo and enlarge to view. "Queen" has a "beautiful" face, great coloring with blue eyes that may be reproduction eyes, has painted black eyelashes, brush stroked brown eyebrows, open mouth with upper teeth, blushed cheeks.
