Original Rare British Army 1947 Pattern Royal Artillery Officer's Battledress Blouse.

Postwar development of the famous WW2 British Battledress uniform.

This example has been modified to smarten it up - probably for an officer. The exposed buttons have been replaced with brass WW2 era Royal Artillery buttons. The epaulettes are cut for insignia - possibly for a captain. There is the outline of insignia on the arms, but they are no longer present.

Manufactured in 1949 by 'R.O.F. Chorley'.

Size 14 (large).
Measures: 23 inches (58.5 cm) from armpit to armpit, 21 inches (53 cm) from armpit to cuff, and 23 inches (58.5 cm) from top to bottom.
Would best fit somebody with a 38 - 42 inch (96 - 106 cm) chest.

Mostly very good condition for its age. All buttons present. No stains - that I can see. One very small moth hole on the arm (see pictures). Some wear to the inside of the belt (see pictures).
