This was used by my mother years ago, when she was alive, it operates off an electrical foot pedal,  other than that I know nothing about it, it has a box of spare parts, and attachments, which apparently is worth quite a bit by itself , it folds into a table, and unfolds into a sewing  table with extended leaf, there are cotton items and needles in a small fold up drawer, plus other bits and pieces. foots etc the Number is  EH923450 made in Scotland in 1952 , the cotton spindles , metal and plastic are removeable and included in the box of spares
