ALAN FREWIN


Initially wanting to be a painter, Alan Frewin discovered his skill with clay working from a garden shed in Surrey from 1959, going on to study at the famous Briglin Pottery in London in the mid-1960s, before moving to Harleston with his wife Anne to start Millhouse Pottery in 1970.


Alan Frewin, born 1935, ran Millhouse Pottery in Harleston, Norfolk with his wife, Ann. Alan's previous potteries were Nonsuch Pottery, from 1965 to 1967 and then until 1970, Alan Frewin Studio Pottery in London.


Alan made  thrown and press moulded earthenware pots with strong slip decorated designs and tin-glazed majolica.


He died in 2016

His works are highly Collectable
