A truly stunning and unique saddle rack hand carved out of solid wood, probably elm. This is a full sized rack, shown holding a 17.5" forward cut and high withered medium width saddle. (Saddle not included) impressive detail of buttons, keepers and the textures of real leather. The legs represent a horse or probably donkey as they are cloven hooves.
This is an old item and it has very slightly wobbly legs, it is still stable and strong enough to hold a saddle but not a person (and trust me it is very tempting to sit on it) but the legs could be re-pinned if you are into woodwork. Similarly there are a couple of small areas of wear to the wood and a few small patches smoothed out with filler - none of these things are noticeable at a distance but can be seen close up and under bright lights. I have included close up photographs where possible.
About 37" high and 21" front to back.

The photographs form part of the description so please study them for exact condition and ask any questions before bidding

Very heavy, weighing around 15kg, so collection only, or meet up by arrangement for the cost of deisel, or arrange your own courier as I am happy to package up at your cost and it would be at your risk of the courier treating it with respect!
