English actor and presenter, film roles include Lord Andrew Lindsay in the 1981 British film Chariots of Fire, which earned him a BAFTA nomination, Dr. Rawlins in the 1987 Steven Spielberg war drama Empire of the Sun and as Ronny in the 1984 David Lean epic A Passage to India. Television roles include Tom Latimer in the British TV comedy series Don't Wait Up and Lewis Archer in Coronation Street intermittently between 2009 and 2019.
Between 2003 and 2011 after moving to a new area in Norfolk and feeling a little isolated, my 11 year old daughter started a new hobby (with my help) – collecting signed photos from celebrities, this quickly turned into a bit of an obsession.
We personally wrote to, or emailed each celebrity or their agent and happily received lots of replies and lovely photos, sometimes with a handwritten letter, card or compliment slip.
Sadly the time has now come to start selling the collection due to a house move abroad as we can’t take everything with us and we have hundreds, they have all been kept in albums in the loft for at least the last 10 years.
