On offer is a Modern Chinese Hetian (Nephrite ) Jade Dragon Belt Hook. It is approximately 17 cm long, 2.3 cm wide and 3 cm tall at the widest points. It weighs 135.08 grams. Quite finely made with a good amount of details. This was recently sourced here on eBay from a new Jade merchant in China. It was quite risky to be honest as the price was way too good to be true but it actually worked out really well! I requested a certificate for an extra charge. The result is "和田玉" that stands for Hetian (Nephrite) Jade. This belt hook is quite the longest you can find, that is for actual use. Such belt hooks are normally priced at a significant premium that the price I am asking for. If you ever wanted a very special piece for a very reasonable price, this is a genuine opportunity to get it!
Condition Report: This belt hook is in excellent / pristine condition as expected from a recently made item. No blemishes whatsoever. No inclusions either. There is a bit of mixture of colours, with some being not so desirable, but oh well this is what keeps the price for it at a very reasonable level. Had this been a very homogeneous attractive colour, this belt hook would be priced more like £600-1K. As a matter of fact, there is one such example here on eBay UK. Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery smooth texture, top of the range really for Hetian Jade. An inexperienced person would definitely confuse this for Jadeite...
