USAAF BC-348-R Aircraft Radio Receiver

Original WW2 USAAF Radio Receiver BC-348-R, aluminum housing featuring black crinkle painted finish. All dials, switches, knobs, etc., operate smoothly with no damage. Mfg by BELMONT RADIO CORP. with 1942 dated contract number. Like so many of these, this unit has been converted to AC power at some point [note remains of power cord hanging out of the back], and has two thin wires coming out of one of the phone jacks at lower left [assuming this was for an external speaker].

Typical wear to painted finish as can be seen and the lever for AVC/MVC control is missing. No shock mounts or other accessories present. I have taken quite a few photos of the internals, but since I am not a "radio guy", no idea as to what I'm looking at--if anyone has any questions about the internals, please feel free and I will be happy to help to the best of my ability. Needless to say, unit has not been tested and is sold as-is. Boxed weight of unit is 35 pounds.

The BC-348 series receivers were standard issue for nearly all multi-engine US military aircraft during WW2 [B-17, B-24, B-25, B-26, B-29 bombers, C-46, C-47, C-54 cargo/transport, etc.] Great restoration project or use for parts and is in very good, untested condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
