This Farmhouse Milking Stool was crafted during the Early 20th Century. Originally, you would have found this piece along side Live Stock to sit upon while milking. Throughout the years, many estate owners gravitate towards the primitive look, along with the story Milking Stools are associated with. This piece makes a great foot stool and would compliment an array of interior styles. The three turned maple legs are exceptional and truly add the Farmhouse look that we all enjoy. The cushioned top shows a floral motif needlepoint on a maroon backing. Judging by the underside of the Stool, this isn't the original needlepoint, although it's old - We'd say 1930's or better. The side of the stool has its original oak handle, which would have been used to carry the stool from cattle to cattle. For its age, this stool is in very nice condition and is sturdy enough to use and enjoy. You will find mild scratches to the legs and mild discoloration and blemishes to the needlepoint, although there are no major holes or tears shown.
