My vinyl record rating guide:          vinyl  /  sleeve

NMINT-         outstanding gloss, should have no surface scuffing at all  /  strong spine with clear, legible print, should be close to perfect

EX                 outstanding gloss, a few light superficial surface scuffs, should play great with crisp, clear analog sound and the possibility of a little light background noise familiar to vinyl lovers most likely during the dead wax spots between tracks  /  strong spine with clear, legible print, may have a little light age wear to the cover or the corners

VG+              superb gloss, some light superficial surface scuffing, should play great with crisp, clear analog sound and some light occasional background noise possible  /  strong spine but the print may be compromised somewhat, some light age wear, but no seam splits or writing on the jacket unless noted in the description

VG                nice gloss, multiple light superficial surface scuffs, should still play well but with a little more background noise possible, should still be an enjoyable listening experience and I will usually play rate these and make it known on the listing  /  cover should be functional but may have some seam splits or writing, I will note all splits or writing in the description

GOOD          good gloss, numerous scuffs, should play though but will have background noise, I will play rate these to make sure that the record plays through without skips, I will not list a record that skips, there may be a "click" on a few rotations, but I will note these in the description, I usually only list records that are more collectable at this rating  /  cover should be functional but will have some seam splits or writing, I will note all splits or writing in the description

FAIR             I will only list these records if they are highly collectable and will describe each one individually

NOTE:           Incredibly rare 2 LP set released by Vee Jay records in 1964 before Capitol stopped them for good, this includes the hard-to-find large foldout poster that has never been pinned, taped, etc. to a wall.  This set is very difficult to find (much harder to find than the butcher cover) as the number of copies pressed was only in the thousands.

The Beatles record has-left justified song titles and indented credits, with “INTRODUCING the BEATLES” and “LONG PLAYING” (two words) on the label. The deadwax has the matrix numbers 63-3402 on SIDE 1, and 63-3403 on SIDE 2. Each side also includes the etched text “URT” as well as the machine stamped Audio Matrix logo.
The Four Seasons record is titled "Golden Hits of the Four Seasons" and has the same colorband brackets logo label (I think all mono versions may have colorband brackets logo labels - not sure). The Monarch symbol is in the dead wax, and includes the matrix numbers 63-3048 and triangle 5713 on SIDE 1, and 63-3409 and triangle 5713-X on SIDE 2.

NOTE 2:                 Check out my Introducing the Beatles with the "Ask Me Why", "Please, Please Me" cover also

ARTIST(s):    The Beatles  /  The Four Seasons

TITLE:           The Beatles Vs. The Four Seasons

LABEL:         1964 Vee Jay records mono release DX-30

COVER:        VG  (gatefold, age and shelf wear, 4" split top seam, 2" split bottom seam on the front side of the gatefold, the former owner wrote their name lightly on the back of the jacket along with a small writing of their name along the white print on the bracket on each LP.)

VINYL:           VG  (nice gloss, plays great with crisp, clean sound and tremendous fidelity and some light occasional background noise.  I listened to all sides of this rare double LP and even with the light surface scuff the Beatles LP played fantastic, nearly perfect. Side one of the Four Seasons played fine and side two played with more BG noise than the others including some thumps but no skips or pops  All open LPs cleaned on VPI vacuum cleaner. Original poster included and in great condition.)

all records visually graded, except when noted*
