This is a reproduction of the factory discontinued obsolete part.  If your Mitsubishi Endeavor (or Galant, though less common) won't go into Park and the button in the shifter feels different, it's usually due to this component crumbling with age, reducing how far the button pushes down the shifter.  Mitsubishi discontinued this part years ago.  I kept one brand new one for my personal car once I found out they were obsolete, and since have 3D scanned and recreated the part.

Installation is very easy.  Remove the two Philips screws from the front of the shifter and carefully lift off.  With the screws set aside, tap the shifter several times on a hard surface to remove any broken bits.

Ensure shifter core is not broken on shifter (it should protrude far enough above the shaft for the sleeve to install and still have travel as in the illustration).

Apply a small amount of grease on top of the sleeve and install onto the core rod with the flat section facing left.

Slide shift knob gently in place and reinstall two screws.

Each purchase comes with TWO sleeves.
