"The Citadel of Chaos" is a stand-alone fantasy adventure gamebook in the Fighting Fantasy series, where you play as a daring magician-hero venturing into the dangerous fortress of the evil wizard Balthus Dire. To confront Dire, you must avoid monsters and gather various artifacts to allow passage past guards to Dire's inner sanctum. Each gamebook in the series can be played independently, including this one.
