Stunning intricate hand made table featuring a sculpture of a Yali riding on an elephant.  It is 22" tall and the top is 15" square.

The Yali also called Vyala or Yazhi, is a Hindu mythological creature, portrayed with the head and the body of a lion, the trunk and the tusks of an elephant, and sometimes bearing equine features. The creature is represented in many South Indian temples, often sculpted onto the pillars. The yali is said to be a guardian creature, protecting human beings both physically and spiritually.

It is in generally very good condition, howver the base will need some TLC as the nails have separated and are not holding tight. Someone with some woodworking know how could easily get it re-secured.
