This rare 1931 real photo postcard features two women dressed in traditional clothing in front of a saloon in a Dutch village in Tampa, Florida.

Approximate size: 5.4 inches x 3.4 inches

There is a menu with, among other things, a "dutch sandwich" available.

Also in the image is a "Drink Celo" advertisement. “Celo” was a popular celery-flavored soft drink in Florida, particularly in the Tampa area. The original concoction was created by W. Truman Green in a Tampa drug store in 1915. The Celo Company prospered in the 1920s with the support of local investors and stockholders.

Along with Cuba Kola and Christy Club Soda, Celo was produced and bottled in Tampa during the 1930s. In 1944, the company was sold to Vernor’s Ginger Ale. However, the drink hasn’t been seen for many years, possibly discontinued soon after it was sold. It was made with celery, apparently grown in the celery fields in eastern Sarasota County.
