This is an 1890s or early 1900 pre prohibition SCHLITZ beer growler bottle with its original metal handle and SCHLITZ embossed porcelain stopper!....Schlitz boldly acid etched on front shoulder.....Original porcelain stopper has SCHLITZ  THE BEER THAT MADE MILWAUKEE FAMOUS with globe, all in blue print on top of stopper...Bottle is hand blown in mold...smooth base....hand tooled big double ring collar.....round with rings around it....11"tall...Sparkling attic mint condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A clean empty bottle with no haze. About the finest possible example you will find!...I've heard that these early Schlitz beer "growlers" were used at the Schlitz Palm Garden ..
