These ZL3 Millionth editions were produced in 2013 to celebrate the production of 1 million GSX-Rs since the introduction of the first GSX-R 750 ‘Slabside’ in 1984. The year 1984 being key, as just 1984 of these Millionth Editions were produced and sold worldwide, with only 500 of that number coming to the UK. Each bike had an individually numbered build plaque on the top yoke, and built upon the specification of the excellent L2/L3 model launched one year previously which in itself was the most radically re-engineered GSX-R1000 since the fabled K5/K6 model.
