This is an antique decorative plate made by Wedgwood in England during the Victorian era. The plate is made of stoneware glazed with a layer of white tin glaze.  This white layer is given a relief design featuring a grape and leaf vine pattern with a band of oak leaf design and a woven pattern. This is topped with a semitransparent layer of green glaze producing a remarkable visual effect.  This pattern was made in small quantities around 1860 and is quite scarce today.  It has a round shape and a glossy finish. The plate is 8 7/8 inches in diameter. The production style is referred to as Wedgwood Majolica. The backstamp is impressed and it is an original piece. There is a very small chip in the glaze on the reverse rim as shown at 6:30 on the second photograph. This is not visible on the top of the plate as shown in the sixth photograph. There are three kiln stand marks on the back as made. The fourth photograph shows a kiln stand mark. There is no crazing.
