Antique French wheel  barometer signed in French, circa 1900.

Solid hardwood case decorated with stunning brass designed hardware pieces. Features a spirit thermometer.  "Charlet Ainé Toricelli Mechanism"

 Scales are printed in French with outer scale metric and inner scale 'Paris Inch' - an official scale in use since Charlemagne (used for 1000 years), favored by Continental scientists until the (French) metric system became more widespread. Reaumur / metric units on thermometer scale. 

Measures 36"H 11"X1.5"

Cosmetic Condition is quiet good for this age, missing small piece of wood frame, some paint stains, and polish faded in some areas.
