This is a vintage Japanese tea bowl of Kyo ware, which was made by a great potter, Ikkan Kawajiri (1930-2008) about 40 years ago.

He was a great potter, who got the blue-ribbon award of Nitten exhibition 2 times (His works were accepted at Nitten exhibition many time. In addition, he also received one of the greatest awards, the Award of the Japan Art Academy in 2001.

'SHO-CHIKU-BAI, pine tree, bamboo and plu tree' are painted on the body.

The signature of the potter is carved on the bottom. The original wooden box with the signature of the potter and his profile are also included.
