This classic design polar bear toonie  is minted in proof finish in plated steel. This coin is taken from the 2019 silver dollar proof set (75th anniversary of D-Day). This coin has the traditional polar bear logo and the date 2019 on the obverse.  The outer ring is three ply nickel finish plated steel while the inner core is 3 ply brass finish plated aluminum bronze.  This coin is taken from the 2019 special edition silver dollar proof set (75th anniversary of  D-Day). This coin has the traditional polar bear logo and the date 2019 on the obverse.  It is 28 mm in diameter and weighs 6.99 grams (the gold plated silver toonie from the fine silver proof set weighs 9 grams) Mintage of the set is only 15,000
