This is a Limited Edition - No.167 of 210 copies - bound in leather, dual signed, and with a slip case. A further 1500 copies were bound in cloth. The book combines Peter Coltrin's wonderful photographic coverage of motor racing between 1954 and 1959 with the text of the renowned motoring author, Chris Nixon. Text is in English, Italian and French. Very good hardcover, in very good slip case. Tight binding, solid spine, some cover scratches & rubbing to boards, clean unmarked text, dampstaining to slipcase. Illustrated, 4to, 159 pages. Scarce. 

Peter Coltrin was one of the greatest photographers in automobile history, and a great lover of the motoring culture of Modena. Coltrin lived in Modena, Italy from 1958 until his death in 1982 where he recorded daily activities and new model introductions at Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini, as well as numerous test sessions at the Modena Aerautodromo and Monza. He also photographed many runnings of the Targo Florio, the Italian Grand Prix and the Monaco Grand Prix.
