Another recent estate sale acquisition offered here is a c.1880’s Wm. L. Gilbert Cottage clock with a mahogany veneer. The clock also has what appears to be the original tablet with leaves/fruit design. Also has a painted metal dial with Roman numerals and spandrel design. There is a fairly complete label on the back of the clock. which reads COUPON. There is also a label inside back of the clock below the movement which is complete but very darkened.
The clock is currently running, comes with pendulum and key. The case is in decent shape but there are veneer chips (character). No markings on the movement.
Clock measures 13-1/4” tall x 10-1/2” wide x 4-1//4 deep.
