Constructed by our luthier to be just like the traditional string instruments
that were played in Piraeus in the early 30s by Bambakaris and Tsitsanis.
It is tuned to "re", "la", "re", (d,a,d,) The
(re) string is the basis for the melody, while the A and second D strings are
used for playing chords.
The Tzouras (Greek: τζουράς), is a Greek stringed musical instrument related to
the Bouzouki. The six-string model has the same arrangement of strings tuned to the same
pitches as the six-string (trichordo) bouzouki.
