WW2 WW2 German soldier M40 helmet with winter camouflage. Battlefield relic from Latvia (Kurland Kessel). Found in German army positions near the Lesten defense line.

Rust cleaned with oxalic acid and treated with candle wax. metal is solid, original color retained. The helmet has been repainted in white during the war and used for winter camouflage.

Marking inside the helmet: serial number ?737. Helmet size is 66.
