Vintage “CRITERIUM” Mechanical Drafting Pencil. Model 2401 This is the earliest ever
version of this great pencil. Made in France by GILBERT & BLANZY-POURE
during the ‘60’s. This is a very nice, lightly used example of the stylish and
timeless CRITERIUM
shape, but for made for a 1.18 mm lead size (not 2 mm as with the more
common 2403). It operates by a push
button spring-loaded clutch. This beauty features an all aluminum body with
nicely sized incised grip, pocket clip (the classic CRITERIUM shape version),
and an eraser in the button. At a
pocket-friendly 4 ½ ” long, this is well made, well thought out and very
classy. Carry it or show it, you will
not regret having one of these really neat, all-time classic pencils. Not common at all for this size lead, so….
